The standards for certifications change over time. Free Code Camp seems to have recently started issuing certifications.
It's unclear how much these certifications are worth because they are relatively new, but they may be worth it.
Are Free Code Camp certifications worth putting on your resume?
Certification is an achievement that someone can put on their resume to show that they possess proficiency in a certain skill set and field. When deciding whether to get a certification, you should make sure it is relevant and will add value to your resume.
Free Code Camp is a free online community with resources to help people learn how to code. They offer certifications for 13 different topics, from Python basics to Progressive Web App development.
While Free Code Camp certifications are not directly comparable with the credentials of other training centers, some people who have taken these classes say that having them on your resume is still beneficial. For example, a person who has relatively low skill in coding may find that they can improve their skills by simply taking the course and passing it. It will also give them more confidence in their abilities and allow them to prove themselves when applying for jobs.
The Free Code Camp certifications are not really worth putting on your resume because they are just a way for the camp to get more people to join.
Most of these freeCodeCamp's certifications are offered at the discretion of the camp’s mentors. Certifications do not carry any weight in the professional world and should not be put on your resume because they do not prove you have skills that employers will want.
