NASA has released a list of the first celestial objects photographed by the James Webb Space Telescope

NASA today announced a list of celestial objects that will be disclosed next week when the James Webb Space Telescope, or JWST, publishes its first full-color photographs. Galaxies, nebulae, and a massive planet outside our Solar System are among the objectives.

JWST is NASA's large new deep-space observatory, which is scheduled to launch on Christmas Day 2021. The observatory, which features a giant gold-coated mirror that spans more than 21 feet wide, is poised to alter the science of astrophysics by gathering light from the first stars and galaxies that emerged immediately after the Big Bang. It's also intended to investigate things in our Universe in unprecedented detail, providing us with new insights.

The Carina Nebula. The Carina Nebula, located around 7,600 light-years distant in the southern constellation Carina, is one of the biggest and brightest nebulae in the sky. Nebulae are stellar nurseries that give birth to stars. Many huge stars many times the size of the Sun may be found in the Carina Nebula.

WASP-96 b (spectrum). WASP-96 b is a massive gas-filled planet outside our solar system. The planet circles its star every 3.4 days and is about 1,150 light-years away from Earth. It has almost half the mass of Jupiter and was discovered in 2014.

The Southern Ring Nebula The Southern Ring, also known as the "Eight-Burst" nebula, is a planetary nebula, which is an expanding cloud of gas that surrounds a dead star. It has a diameter of about half a light-year and
